Gem producer and explorer Pangea DiamondFields says it has an 8.61 million carat attributable source in central and southern Africa.
Isle of Man-based Pangea, which has eight alluvial diamond projects in the Central African Republic (CAR), Congo (DRC), Angola and South Africa, says it produced 18,859 carats in the first half of this year. The AIM-listed company stresses a move to pilot mining at Dimbi and says the first export and sale from its Longatshimo River project in the DRC should take place before the end of September.
Shares in Pangea have nearly halved since 2006 to 34.5p.That values the company at £46 million.
