Shares in Desire were sent crashing after the decision of operator Mohave Oil and Gas Corporation to abandon another well in the Aljubarrota licence, Portugal. This has led Desire's board to decide to review its future level of activity in the country, which has so far come to absolutely nothing in terms of results. As has its prospects in the Falkland Islands, which are apparently awash with oil, but at the same time virtually impossible to operate.
