The surgical products manufacturer has redesigned itself along four key areas: product licensing, with Genzyme selling the EndoFlex in the US; minimally invasive products, both multi-use and disposable; blood transfusion products; and Ion Products Solutions. This last division is focused on the Genport access system and the Sepra applicator, which is used with its SI's anti-adhesion film. In light of the scant internal resources, the group will be looking at potential acquisitions and strategic corporate relationships. In the year to 31 December, turnover increased from £1.3m to £1.8m with the loss vastly reduced from £694,000 to £57,000.
