Independent research conducted by a consortium of European Research teams including the British Geological Survey has led to the conclusion that at Conroy's Tullybuck/Lisglassan gold deposit, 'the mineralisation is more extensive' than was previously thought. Conroy recently announced a new gold find 6.5km away from the original deposit across the Irish border in County Armagh. It is said that this proves that there is a much larger belt of potentially economic deposits in the area, over which Conroy has 300 sq km of exploration licences.
