Some positive drilling results from Extract Resources – in which Kalahari Minerals has a 36.2 per cent interest – appear to support the viability of a Rossing-style uranium mine at Ida Dome in the Husab area of Namibia. The scoping study has looked at only the top 100 metres of Ida Dome, which itself is only one of three prospects within the Husab area – and produced good enough results to move to a detailed feasibility study. This is likely to start in the second half of next year, following further drilling.
The news helped push Kalahari up to 27.75p, which compares with a recommendation level here in August of 26.5p. Continue to hold.
