If you are still in professional newsletter business Electric Word, stay with it. The shares have not exactly romped away since I tipped them here in July 2003 at 6.38p (they are currently 10.38p), but that could be about to change. There is a long delay between growth in subscriptions and recognition of profit in this kind of business, but at last Electric Word is starting to show strong growth in profits. Earnings doubled to 0.66p last year and, with further acquisitions taking it into new areas, a strong balance sheet and a firm start to the new year, it looks as if the shares are selling on what is barely a double-digit earnings multiple.
