Hospital medicines specialist Maelor has added another distribution licence, acquiring the rights to sell Aloxi, a drug to deal with chemotherapy-induced nausea, in the UK. Aloxi has been developed by a Swiss pharma group, Helsinn Healthcare. Maelor also has the rights to an oral formulation and an extended indication for the management of post-operative nausea – both of which are in development. Maelor will be producing interim figures next Tuesday.
The shares have been a firm market of late. A current price of 13.75p compares with a recommendation level here in September last year of 6.5p. Hold.
