Changes at operational level at TT Electronics are being reflected in the boardroom, with a new chief executive and finance director taking up their positions next month. Neil Rogers stepped down from his position as chief executive at the end of June and will be replaced by Geraint Anderson from 4 August.
Until August, Roderick Weaver, group finance director, will be the acting chief executive. Weaver himself will retire from the board in August and will be replaced by Shatish Dasani on 1 August.
Geraint Anderson will join TT from Cisco Systems Inc, where he is global vice-president of Linksys Service Provider Business, having previously worked for Cisco’s service provider business in Europe. Prior to this, Anderson led Pirelli’s worldwide communications operations in Milan, managing the company’s cable, fibre and accessories business.
Shatish Dasani will join TT from commercial currency producer and cash-handling group De La Rue, where he is currently group financial controller having been with the company for four years. Difficult markets mean that TT Electronics now expects its first-half results to be lower than last year, having spent much of the past 12 months moving its manufacturing base from the US and Europe to China and Malaysia.
