Expanding fish restaurant chain Fishworks has installed as finance director Ratnesh Bagdai, a former director of Caprice Holdings, owner of celebrity hang-out restaurant The Ivy.

Bagdai left Caprice in 2003 to set up The Back Office, an accountancy consultant for SMEs focusing on restaurant and catering operations, where he provided consultancy services to Rick Stein’s The Seafood Restaurant, among others.

FishWorks opened its eighth restaurant in February, in posh Primrose Hill, London. Chief executive Roy Morris says the group continues to expect to have ‘at least 19 FishWorks sites by mid-2008
