Despite witnessing the launch of its science and technology digital-TV channel in several countries, including the UK, Germany and Switzerland, the six months to June have proved to be 'difficult' for Einstein. In the UK the channel hit the airwaves in January, 'just as the advertising slump started to hit home' and growth across Europe was slower than anticipated. On the upside, the company is now broadcasting to Holland, the US and India, but with trading conditions showing little sign of improvement 'significant working capital issues' persist. As a result management is now in discussions with several potential investors and purchasers. A further announcement is, unsurprisingly, promised 'in the near future'. Avoid!
