Einstein Channel, the first science and technology dedicated channel, appointed Granada Channels to act as the sales agent for its digital TV channel and internet portal in the UK. Einstein is also in talks with cable distributors to expand the number of delivery platforms where it will air 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The channel is already on air 24 hours a day in Germany on Deutsche Telekom's new national digital cable TV package 'Vision Select'. The channel aims to transmit to 16 territories in five languages by the end of the next year. The shares rose 8.5p on the back of the news.
