And Densitron has been able to repay investors in kind by announcing a significant jump in profit for the year to December. On flat turnover of £38m, the group achieved a dramatic rise in pre-tax profits to £4.3m (£605,000 last time). The improvement was due to the net profit of £4m it made on the £8m sale of its microwave subsidiary in the spring of '99.
