Less than four months after joining Dowgate Capital, Dru Edmonstone has become a director of the AIM-quoted stockbroker and corporate finance house. A founding shareholder of the colourful Durlacher financial group and a former AIM Journalist of The Year, the enthusiastic Edmonstone, 36, joined Dowgate with Philip Dumas, a colleague at Seymour Pierce, a broking group with previous connections to parts of Dowgate, to expand its corporate client list and target larger fund raisings.
Tony Rawlinson, chairman of Dowgate, comments ‘Dru has already become an integral part of the group as it strengthens its profile in the small cap arena’. No doubt, in happier market times, his efforts will help the company restore its share price from today’s 10.25p to its 2006 peak of 28.5p and beyond.
