Growth Company Investor has walked away with the much-coveted award for Best Research at the 2006 AIM Awards Dinner held at Old Billingsgate Market in the City. Sponsored by Canaccord Adams, and mulled over by a teams of expert City professionals, the award recognises an individual, team or publication that has ‘brought AIM to life’ over the course of the year and increased the profile of the thriving market.
One of the keynote dates in the AIM calendar, the annual event enables the ‘club’ of companies, brokers, advisers, lawyers, public relations people and City hacks to ponder and celebrate the year’s AIM triumphs. Sponsored by PricewaterhouseCoopers, in association with the London Stock Exchange, the awards were first held in 1996.
Other 2006 winners on the night included herpes treatment group Henderson Morley, for best performing share and Griffin Mining, for best performing share over five years. Transaction of the year went to Clapham House, entrepreneur of the year to RAB Capital’s Philip Richards, and company of the year to Synergy Healthcare.
GCI Editor Leslie Copeland is pictured below receiving the award from presenter Bev Turner, Canaccord’s Mark Ashurst, and Neil Sutton of event sponsor PWC.
