Further drilling at Sukari in the Egyptian desert has increased the total estimated gold resource at the project by another 8.7 per cent to 9.79 million oz, says AIM-quoted Centamin Egypt. The estimated resource, which complies with the mining industry’s JORC measurement standard, comprises 6.5 million oz measured and indicated and a less certain 3.3 million oz inferred.
The most significant increase in the Sukari resource, which has been expanding pleasingly for some time, has been found in the Amun Deeps areat. Joseph El-Raghy, Centamin’s managing director, claims ‘potential for further significant resource addition’.
Recommended by Growth Company Investor at 10.25p three years ago, the shares now stand at 54.5p. Partial profit-taking might be prudent, though there remains potential for further gains.
