Wound care materials business Advanced Medical Solutions saw its shares rise 10% after announcing details of two technology licensing deals. Following its recent licensing deal with Noble Fiber Technologies, AMS today signed a development agreement with a 'major international wound care company'. Products incorporating silver alginate technology should be launched onto the market in 2003. AMS also signed a deal for a big pharmaceutical company to use its patented anti-bleed gel in an antibiotics brand. Chief executive Don Evans said the recent acquisition of MedLogic generated a great deal of interest from partners hoping to use its wound-sealing technology in their products. The shares could have a long way to go if more deals like today's are signed.
